The New Currency of Wealth: Freedom

    September 9, 20264 Mins Read

Q1. Tell us about your journey. What inspired you to establish MY PASS?

I come from an entrepreneurial family whose business began in Lebanon and expanded internationally. Experiencing that journey showed me the value of a legal and structural safety net that creates room to grow beyond one market. Over more than 20 years in business leadership, I’ve learned that international growth requires more than ambition—it requires the right structure, relationships, and long-term vision. I saw many Lebanese entrepreneurs with ambition and capital but without the right cross-border guidance. That gap inspired MY PASS: an advisory firm focused not on selling passports, but on helping clients grow their businesses and secure their families.

Q2. How has the concept of wealth evolved over the last decade?
Wealth is no longer measured only by assets or business valuations. Today, families also value resilience, security, freedom of choice, and quality of life. Real wealth means having the flexibility to choose where you live and how you move, supported by a structure that protects opportunities for the next generation without depending entirely on one country.

Q3. Why is global mobility becoming so important to entrepreneurs and high-net-worth families?

Entrepreneurs increasingly have businesses, assets, and families across several countries. Global mobility connects those worlds while reducing reliance on a single passport. Investors are also thinking strategically about tax planning and where their next phase of business expansion makes the most sense. The right mobility strategy can provide access to new markets and enable faster decisions when visa policies, banking access, or geopolitical conditions change.

Q4. Is second citizenship simply about travel?

Travel is only the starting point. Second citizenship can expand access to education, business, banking, and a secure Plan B for the family. It also gives entrepreneurs the freedom to respond quickly when opportunities arise. That peace of mind also comes from knowing that such personal decisions are handled with complete discretion and confidentiality.

Q5. What does wealth diversification mean today?

Diversification now has three layers: assets, jurisdictions, and legal status. A portfolio may be financially diversified yet remain exposed if everything is tied to one country. Citizenship and residency options help families diversify that risk and preserve their ability to live, bank, invest, and operate internationally. Just as smart investors would never keep all their assets in one place, families today shouldn’t keep all their opportunities tied to a single jurisdiction.

Q6. Luxury is changing dramatically. What does luxury mean to you?

Luxury today is about experiences over possessions. It is privacy, time, access, and certainty—the freedom to travel, relocate, access healthcare, or educate your children without unnecessary barriers. Above all, it means creating options for the people you love.

Q7. What are the biggest misconceptions about citizenship and residency programs?

People often assume clients are escaping something or simply “buying a passport.” In reality, reputable programs involve government vetting, rigorous due diligence, and a genuine contribution to the country’s economy. Programs also differ greatly, so price or speed should never be the only consideration. In this industry, integrity means being transparent about every requirement, risk, and responsibility—not simply presenting the most attractive benefits.

Q8. Where do you see the future of global mobility?

AI, borderless business, and remote work will accelerate global mobility. Family offices will become more international, and families will increasingly combine citizenship, residency, business, and investment options across several jurisdictions. Mobility will become a long-term strategy for how families live, work, invest, and build their future.

Q9. What advice would you give entrepreneurs building international businesses today?

Think globally from day one and diversify early across markets and opportunities. Invest in strong relationships, because international business is ultimately built on trust, credibility, and the ability to deliver consistently across borders. Protect your family and build for long-term resilience, not only short-term growth.

Q10. How does MY PASS help clients choose the right program?

We begin with the client’s objectives—mobility, business expansion, education, tax efficiency, or long-term security—and narrow the market to the programs that genuinely fit. As the first and only authorized promoter in Lebanon and the region, we provide guidance within a legitimate and transparent framework, giving clients confidence throughout the process. That advisory relationship is built on trust, complete confidentiality, and integrity. Clients share deeply personal information about their families, businesses, and finances, so protecting that information and giving objective advice are fundamental to how we operate. Our role isn’t simply to sell a passport; it’s to match each client with the right jurisdiction, protect their interests throughout the process, and be honest when a popular program isn’t right for them.
