Winter in Australia is a time for amazing food and wine experiences, and luckily for us, Australia is home to some of the most incredible truffle suppliers in the world. One of those is Western Australian chef and truffle producer David Coomer.
Simon Johnson invited David to their newly launched Cooking School in Alexandria to host their Truffle Masterclass, which featured his famous black perigord truffles from the cool climate of Western Australia’s pristine Manjimup region.
Guests were treated to four courses of beautiful dishes, including:
+ Duck Liver and truffle pate
+ Burrata with truffle and aged balsamic
+ Roasted brussel sprouts, truffle and pancetta
+ Cacio Pepe with shave truffles
HW Speak wine merchants paired wines to each of the course, which elevated the evening for all those who attended. Among those who attended was local Sydney food blogger Chloe Su.
