Armani is Now Producing Medical Overalls

    March 3, 20202 Mins Read

This generous act adds up to an ample donation of two million euros Georgio Armani has allocated to an array of hospitals in Italy, to support the fight against COVID-19.

After shutting the doors to the public on its fashion show last February due to COVID-19, the iconic Italian brand has taken another step in the battle against the novel coronavirus.

The Armani Group has announced that it will be switching the production of all their manufacturing plants in Italy to produce single-use medical overalls, in aid of protecting healthcare and frontline workers.

As if this wasn’t enough, the master designer Giorgio Armani himself has also made a generous donation of two million euros to various hospitals in Milan and Roma to help fight the virus. This kind act of charity comes after weeks of donations to other medical centres in Bergamo, Piacenza and Versilia.

This is not the first Italian fashion house to help in supporting overwhelmed hospitals and healthcare workers throughout Italy. Earlier this month Donatella Versace also made an ample donation of 200.000 euros to hospitals around one of the most affected cities in Italy, Milan.

In addition, Salvatore Ferragamo is one of the many other brands who are manufacturing sanitisers, masks and medical overalls to Italian healthcare workers fighting against the disease.
