Unforgettable Stays to Inspire Your Autumn Travels

    September 24, 20254 Mins Read

    1. Experience Istanbul Aglow with Light Art at The Peninsula Istanbul

This autumn, The Peninsula Istanbul comes alive with radiant light installations by acclaimed artist Grimanesa Amorós. As part of the hotel’s celebrated Art in Resonance programme, two site-specific works — PASSAGE and MARITIME — transform the Bosphorus-front property into a luminous canvas from 24 September through November.

Unveiled during the 20th Contemporary Istanbul art fair, the installations draw on the city’s maritime heritage: a glowing sculpture within the hotel’s historic clock tower and a suspended lobby piece evoking the form of a ship. Together, they offer guests and visitors an immersive encounter where architecture, culture, and contemporary art converge.

    2. From Beato Angelico to the Biennale: Culture Comes Alive at Hotel Savoy

Hotel Savoy in Florence continues to act as a cultural hub, with luxury hospitality embracing art, history, and contemporary creativity. This autumn, the Rocco Forte Hotels property offers two extraordinary experiences that elevate a stay in Florence into a journey through the very essence of artistic imagination.

Until the 25 January 2026, in partnership with Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi, guests of Hotel Savoy will enjoy exclusive, after hours access to Beato Angelico, the landmark exhibition dedicated to one of the most visionary masters of the 15th century. The Hotel Savoy takes centre stage again as cultural partner of the XV Florence Biennale – International Exhibition of Contemporary Art and Design.

    3. Discover Hublot’s Craftsmanship with Ultima Quai Wilson

This October, guests at Ultima Quai Wilson can step directly into the world of haute horlogerie with an exclusive visit to Hublot’s Manufacture in Nyon—arranged by private car or helicopter. A horological expert leads them through the brand’s celebrated “Art of Fusion,” culminating in a hands-on Watch Academy where participants case an in-house movement under the watchful eye of master craftsmen. Back in Geneva, Ultima Quai Wilson offers the ideal retreat: five full-floor private residences in a sensitively restored heritage building on the lakeside promenade. Each combines privacy and tranquillity with sweeping views of Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc, private spa access, and interiors that balance thoughtful design with understated elegance.

    4. Soar Above the Sands: Desert Paragliding at The Chedi Al Bait, Al Faya Desert

In Sharjah’s Al Faya desert, The Chedi Al Bait introduces a stay that combines timeless luxury with exhilarating adventure. Guests can enjoy daily breakfast at The Restaurant before embarking on a tandem paragliding experience with Sky Adventures, soaring high above the dunes for sweeping desert views. The package also includes a guided Mleiha tour, return transfers, and exclusive privileges for in-house guests.

Between adventures, guests are invited to relax with spa credits, early check-in and late check-out, and signature GHM hospitality. Valid until April 2026, this package is a seamless blend of serenity and adrenaline.

    5. Sip, Sail, and Savour: Afternoon Tea and Cocktails on the Victoria Harbour with The Peninsula Hong Kong

This autumn, The Peninsula Hong Kong brings back its highly popular Afternoon Tea on the Harbour and Sunset Cocktail Cruises, in partnership with the iconic Star Ferry. Hosted aboard the elegantly customised World Star ferry, the experiences pair two of Hong Kong’s most legendary names for an unforgettable journey on Victoria Harbour.

From now through January 2026, Afternoon Tea on the Harbour will be offered twice every Saturday, featuring live jazz, Peninsula Sparkling Tea, and a refined new menu of savoury and sweet delights. For those who prefer evenings on the water, the Sunset Cocktail Cruises return on select Fridays (19 Sept, 31 Oct, 28 Nov 2025, and 30 Jan 2026), complete with live DJs, free-flow drinks, and exquisite canapés. Both excursions promise the perfect blend of gastronomy, music, and panoramic harbour views, reaffirming The Peninsula Hong Kong’s reputation as the city’s Grande Dame of hospitality.
