- It’s near Alaska. Cooler temps and a deep snow-pack allow us to ski late into the season.
- Bluebird days. April has the most sunshine of any heli-ski month.
- Stability. April generally allows us to ski more aggressive lines. It’s when the Pro skiers visit us.
- Long days…like really long. Some days we can ski until 6pm…. If your legs can take it.
- Still plenty of POW. On average, 52cm of fresh snow per week in April. We even have a run called April Powder.
- Alpine lunches under the sun. Maybe you’ll even get to try a backcountry BBQ.
- Work on that goggle tan.
- Big vertical. On a bluebird week, expect long days and long runs.
- Heli-ski in shorts… or less…
- Glacier beers. Cold beer tastes better in the spring.
